Modern Rustic Letterpress Invitations

This suite started with wooden envelopes. Yes. Wood. And we can't get enough of them!

These ultra-thin, wood veneer envelopes were one the most exciting things for us to print last summer. Because they were a bit more delicate to work with we used our C&P press and fed the envelopes through by hand. With such striking envelopes, we kept the remaining pieces clean and simple. Using a mix of modern fonts, we used 1-color letterpress for the invitations and reply card and added a blind de-boss monogram at the top of the invites for a wedding at Theodore Wirth Park Minneapolis. 

For the day of, we digitally printed menus on sheer vellum using the same fonts as the invitations.  We love that the mix of textures give an elevated feel to the clean lettering. Thanks to Tom & Jenn for bringing us such an amazing project.
